W e l c o m e t o L l a i n A r a b i a n s Here at Llain Arabians we breed for type and performance and concentrate mainly on the Crabbet bloodlines. In 2007 we imported Erin Park Excel (Erin Park Thor/Erin Park Belle) from Australia. We believe he is the ONLY bay 100% Crabbet stallion standing at public stud in the UK. He is an important addition to the Crabbet gene pool in here, and will be available by chilled semen to the UK and Europe in 2010. He will be available by natural covering from 2009 onwards. We have two pure 100% Crabbet mares here; Pearl Silva (Blue Domino/Pearl of Wisdom) and Veletta Pearl (Silver Blue Ludo/Velvet Wings). Pearl Silva has produced two fabulous 100% Crabbet fillies for us. The 2007 filly Llain Lu’Lu’Ah is by Prince Sadik (Silver Gauntlet/Princess Alia) and this year, by Naresh (Prince Sadik/Rose of Bediya) Llain Jumanah. Veletta Pearl also gave us a filly this year by Naresh, Llain Faridah. These three will remain here at Llain Arabians and with their dams and Excel finally provide the foundation to our Crabbet breeding programme. We recently had a visitor who commented on our foal names, Pam wanted to change our luck if you like, but wanted to name the foals linking to the female lines. So here you are: In Arabic, Lu’Lu’ah – means Pearl, Jumanah means Silver Pearl and Faridah means precious gem or pearl. So it in fact does make sense. Both the fillies, although born flashy chestnut with loads of high white markings, will go grey, so lots of washing at show time. We now have with the five of them, some fabulous prospects to go to our precious Excel in the future. Also we have the big moving pure Polish colt, Passionate Wisper BJ (Wiper/SFA Passionata). “Wiz” will be used to cover some of our high percentage mares, and eventually our 100% mares to cross back to Excel. But that’s a long way off yet! Our band of mares, mostly of 50% or more, Crabbet blood, starts as always with Asraha (Asrah/Princess Netitia) who has during her time with us turned her hoof to anything, even managed to produce the filly, Amber Lilly by Klinta Sharif (Shabakka/Star Solitaire) which was the one thing that kept us going in 2006 and is hoping to compete again in endurance during 2009. Eastworth Willamina (William Morris/Perfick) has returned to us. Other horses here are Cancan (Auvation/Lady Jacqueline) and Nafisah (Mareschal/Nyala of Melchet), both are in foal to Erin Park Excel. These foals are due early in 2009. So fingers crossed for something special. Pauls riding horse Disney has given us two unusual offspring. These being a dun colt in 2006, now a gelding, Llain Klassic Gold and a palomino filly, Llain Kharizma in 2007, both of these inherited fantastic movement from their sire, Klinta Sharif. Llain Klassic Gold is now sold, and we look forward to seeing him under saddle in the future. The only other young stock here is by Klinta Sharif, who was so tragically lost in 2006, the 100% Crabbet gelding, Llain Sameer ibn Sharif out of Binley Sala (Prince Iman/Sema), a grey two year old. With his good conformation and movement is sure to be a fantastic ridden horse in he future. We do hope that crabbet breeders will come to see Excel in the flesh, as not one of the literally thousands of photos we have taken do him justice! Pam and Paul Flower Visitors are always
